Okay, so if you’re planning on coming to Chicago, you should have received and email from me (DShan) tonight regarding our weekend together and some final details. We are SO excited for you guys to show up in Chicago, and if you’re still on the edge as to whether or not to come, you should just put that weekend on your calendar and come join us.

We have such a great weekend ahead of us, and if the weather holds, Chicago in the summer is so great you can just walk in circles and have a great time!

Chicago Weekend

Hey Everybody!

Just wanted to drop in and remind you that we’re not only having an Ultimate Meetup in Chicago this June…we’re going to have an incredible fun-filled blast of a time and you should BE THERE!

We’ve just launched 20SB Chat in the right panel of your 20 Something Bloggers pages, so hop on there and meet some bloggers! Those are the same cool cats that will be running around Chicago over the June weekend!

To be clear, we’ve heard rumblings of some concern about the ’structure’ of this event, and I want to assure everyone that the published schedule (Things to Do) is a framework, and more a more will take the shape that people coming into town want it too.  It promises to be a very casual get-together of really cool twenty-somethings who like to have fun and share a love for blogging and social media.  If you want check out Chicago a bit, we can make it happen.  If you want to sit on the sidewalk and drink Corona*, great!  Chicago in the summer is an AMAZING city; everyone is outside, everyone is in a great mood, and sports, music, food, and street festivals are UNAVOIDABLE.

But really, if you’re considering a trip to Chicago this weekend, come join us.  We have a few bloggers looking for roommates to make the hotel costs bottom barrel, and the crowd already attending is a phenomenal, welcoming group.

Hello you 20SB’ers!

Just wanted to remind everyone who’s on the fence that the 20SB Ultimate Meetup is going to be an amazing summer weekend in Chicago, and you should register before Tuesday to get the $30 Event Fee pricing.  As of Tuesday the fee will increase to $35, and I can think of quite a few things you could do with the $5 while you’re here.

Spread the word and hit up your favorite bloggers to make sure they’re coming!

Meetup Update

Hey everybody!  Just wanted to remind everyone that signups are open for the June meetup.

If you’ve signed up you should have received a Welcome Email requesting some information from you, so if you haven’t responded to that please do so when you get a chance.  We definitely need to know who’s coming, but lots of people who are considering signing up are just as interested in who’s coming, and our list over on the left sidebar of this blog is incomplete.  We’ve tracked down some info but need confirmation from all of you.

Ultimate Meetup Sponsorship

The 20 Something Bloggers Ultimate Meetup Sponsorship page is now live, and we’d like you to help us spread the word.

In June of 2009, trend-setting bloggers from all over the country will descend upon Chicago for the 20 Something Bloggers Ultimate Meetup; an event that’s already buzzing around twitter, the blogosphere, and podcasts worldwide.

A unique “casual conference” from the bloggers with the most to say, the weekend will bring together bloggers who spend hours together sharing their lives and pushing the envelope in self-publishing and social media for their continually growing audience, estimated network-wide to easily surpass 200,000 daily blog readers. We believe our participants are ideal brand ambassadors for your business.

The 20 Something Bloggers network has surpassed 4000 members in our first 18 months, and is exhibiting exponential growth.  It is managed and moderated by a small group of volunteers and is hosted on the Ning family of networks.  The team putting this event together are doing so on their free time and are doing so in a very grassroots fashion, which highlights our need for sponsorship.

UPDATE: Our survey hit its limit on participation, so we’ve opened them up again, and would like anyone who hasn’t filled one out (or got an error) to give it a shot.  Again, the more data we have the better…this has already been incredibly helpful.
